Board misses an easy solution

Regarding “Rainbow of Documents Not a Welcome Sight” (Jan. 20) on color-coded paperwork being a needless obstacle to communication for the colorblind:
This person’s unfortunate experience is yet another example of why common-interest-development boards generally have such bad reputations, deserved or otherwise.
What could have been this board’s reasoning? How simple it would have been for someone to take a few moments to place an alternate identifier at the top of each page. Instead, whether intended or not, the board’s lack of assistance gives the appearance of a mean-spirited vendetta at best or flat-out ignorance thinly disguised as arrogance at worst.
