CPK revenue increases 11%

California Pizza Kitchen Inc. said second-quarter net income rose to $6.6 million, or 26 cents a share, from $6.3 million, or 21 cents, a year earlier. Revenue rose 11% to $176.6 million.
The Westchester-based company’s new 2008 profit forecast calls for earnings of 65 cents to 70 cents a share, versus its previous call for earnings of 59 to 65 cents.
CPK shares closed down 39 cents, or 2.7%, at $14.01 before the earnings news.
