Sensitive words as balm for the sick
The Aug. 27 story “Finding the Right Words for Someone Who’s Ill” by Robert Louis Chianese is one of the most valuable pieces of writing I have ever seen.
If people would read and heed his advice, many sick and recovering people would be comforted and, perhaps, heal more quickly.
In addition, his words provide excellent guidance about what to say, and what not to say not only to patients -- but in general.
