* at No. 25 Auburn 17, Alabama 10: Brandon Cox scored on a one-yard sneak with 3:50 left and the Tigers (8-4, 5-3) played stingy defense to beat the Crimson Tide (6-6, 4-4) at Auburn, Ala., and extend their winning streak in the bitter rivalry to a team-record six games. Alabama lost its last four games in Coach Nick Saban’s first season. Auburn recovered an onside kick and ran out the clock.
* at No. 12 Florida 45, Florida State 12: Quarterback Tim Tebow threw three touchdown passes, ran for two scores and carried the Gators (9-3) over the Seminoles (7-5) at Gainesville, Fla. Tebow led Florida to touchdowns on four of its first five possessions, staking it to a big lead that eased the pressure on Florida’s young defense that has struggled much of the year. Tebow, who some consider the front-runner for the Heisman Trophy, completed 19 of 28 passes for 262 yards. The sophomore also carried 13 times for 89 yards.
* No. 21 Clemson 23, at South Carolina 21: Mark Buchholz kicked a 35-yard field goal as time expired to give the Tigers (9-3) the victory over the Gamecocks (6-6) at Columbia, giving Coach Steve Spurrier the longest losing streak of his college career at five.
* Wake Forest 31, at Vanderbilt 17: Alphonso Smith had two interceptions to lead a defense that forced five turnovers and the Demon Deacons (8-4) beat the Commodores (5-7) at Nashville to spoil their chance at becoming bowl eligible.
