Eagles... 33 Redskins... 25

From the Associated Press

LANDOVER, Md. -- Don’t write off the Philadelphia Eagles just yet. Not as long as Donovan McNabb and Brian Westbrook are producing.

With the Eagles trailing by five and three rushers closing in, McNabb threw a screen pass to Westbrook over the middle. Westbrook scampered for a 57-yard touchdown play with 3 minutes 16 seconds remaining in a 33-25 victory over the Washington Redskins.

McNabb, who promised to be “truly motivated” after some questioned his future following last week’s blowout loss to Dallas, completed 20 of 28 passes for 251 yards and four touchdowns.

Westbrook caught two touchdown passes and ran for another score, finishing with 20 carries for 100 yards and five receptions for 83 yards. The Eagles (4-5), who have been alternating wins and losses since Week 2, moved within striking distance of the Redskins (5-4) in the NFC East.

Quoteworthy: “Controversy just hasn’t hit us in one week. It’s been all through the year.” -- Donovan McNabb, Eagles quarterback
