A St. Joseph woman who sent text messages claiming she had been abducted was charged with making a false police report after she was found unharmed at a friend’s house in town.
The woman, 28, went missing Friday after leaving her three children at a baby-sitter’s home.
A police search began Saturday after she began sending text messages to her sister, saying she was with people she didn’t know in a red sports utility vehicle with Virginia license plates and on her way to Virginia.
She was arrested after cellphone providers pinpointed her location.
