Spy chief warns of terrorism threat

Britain faces an increased threat from terrorism and is home to at least 2,000 people who pose a direct threat, including children being groomed by extremists, the director of the domestic spy agency said.
In a rare public speech given in Manchester, England, MI5 chief Jonathan Evans said, “As I speak, terrorists are methodically and intentionally targeting young people and children in this country. They are radicalizing, indoctrinating and grooming young, vulnerable people to carry out acts of terrorism. This year, we have seen individuals as young as 15 and 16 implicated in terrorist-related activity.”
