A Fountain Valley man was arrested Thursday on suspicion of videotaping women in their bathrooms through the windows of a Costa Mesa apartment complex.
David Allen Hoyt, 26, was arrested after being spotted by officers patrolling the 2800 block of Pinecreek Avenue, said Lt. Loran Wyrick, a spokesman for the Costa Mesa Police Department.
After noticing a light coming from the cab of a truck Hoyt was in, the officers reviewed the tape in his camera and found images of women “doing makeup, brushing their hair or other bathroom activities,” Wyrick said.
Hoyt was booked on suspicion of prowling and looking into windows where there is an expectation of privacy, both misdemeanors.
He was released after posting $500 bail.
