Pellicano co-defendant sentenced to prison

A co-defendant in the Anthony Pellicano investigation was sentenced Monday to 4 1/2 years in prison after pleading guilty to using the former private eye to wiretap a Beverly Hills businessman as part of a fraud scheme.
Daniel Nicherie, 46, is the first figure in the long-running investigation to be sent to prison.
He was charged with four felony counts, including pension fraud, wire fraud and money laundering.
