Bosnia is worse off because of U.N.
Re “U.N. court clears Serbia of genocide,” Feb. 27
The United Nations was there -- its “peacekeeping” soldiers and well-paid career apparatchiks watched dutifully and silently for four years while the Bosnian Serbs, with help from their Serbian brothers, ravaged Bosnia and its capital, Sarajevo. They watched and fed us meager food rations, including British biscuits from the 1950s (I saw it with my own eyes). They fed us for slaughter, we used to say while dodging Serb bombs in Sarajevo.
By clearing Serbia of the responsibility for Bosnian genocide, the U.N. has dealt a final, painful blow to any hope for justice for Bosnian victims, both Muslim and non-Muslim. The U.N. has done more damage than good in Bosnia.
