Castro called fit to lead again one day
From Times Wire Reports
Fidel Castro “is recovering noticeably” and could return to lead his country, Cuban Foreign Minister Felipe Perez Roque said during a visit to Panama.
“We are optimistic he will return to work at the appropriate moment,” Perez Roque said.
When asked if that meant Castro, 80, would resume presidential duties, Perez Roque replied, “Yes,” but said he could not say when. Castro has not been seen in public since emergency intestinal surgery in July.
