Police hunt for suspect in several sexual attacks
Riverside police are searching for a rapist they believe is responsible for a series of attacks on women in Corona and Riverside dating back to January 1996.
The most recent rape occurred June 21 about 7 p.m. in the 3700 block of Jefferson Street, police said. The suspect entered through an unlocked door and threatened the victim with a knife before sexually assaulting her, police said.
The suspect is described as white, in his 20s, about 6-feet tall with a thin build. He was last seen wearing a black baseball cap with “IE” in old English script, frameless mirrored sunglasses, a black T-shirt, tan baggie shorts and a black backpack. Anyone with information can call Det. Linda Arnold at (951) 353-7119.
