2 bodies are found in burned O.C. garage
Police and fire investigators are trying to identify two bodies found in a van in a Tustin garage that caught fire early Sunday morning.
Police suspect that the remains are those of two 14-year-old boys, one of whom lived in the house next to the garage.
“Nothing jumps out as being foul play,” said Tustin Police Sgt. Jeff Blair.
Blair said the coroner would not be able to identify the victims until today at the earliest, using fingerprinting and possibly dental records.
Blair said the cause of the fire was unknown. It was reported at 2:22 a.m. Sunday in the 16500 block of Lorelei Lane, near the Santa Ana Freeway.
