Sony/ATV names chairman and CEO
Martin Bandier was named chairman and CEO of Sony/ATV Music Publishing, a venture partly owned by Michael Jackson that controls copyrights for songs by artists such as the Beatles and Jimi Hendrix, Sony Corp. of America said.
Bandier, a veteran music executive, also is making an undisclosed investment in Sony/ATV, the company said.
Bandier will join Sony/ATV effective April 1. He is currently chairman and joint chief executive of EMI Music Publishing.
At Sony/ATV, Bandier will be responsible for global business, including the addition of copyrights and artists.
