Medi-Cal decision to be explained
Simi Valley Hospital, which terminated a portion of its contract with the state Medi-Cal program, will hold a public meeting Tuesday to discuss its action.
The hospital said the state’s Medi-Cal reimbursement rate was too low and that it lost $2.5 million last year because of it. The Medi-Cal program subsidizes medical care for the poor, elderly and disabled. The meeting will be from 11 a.m to 12:30 p.m. at the Simi Valley Senior Center, 3900 Avenida Simi.
