USC adjusts 2008 schedule
USC announced two changes to its football schedule for the 2008 season.
The Trojans’ game at Oregon State, originally scheduled for Sept. 27, will be played on Thursday night, Sept. 25. A home game against Oregon that had been scheduled for Nov. 22 will be played Oct. 4.
USC has open dates after its Aug. 30 opener at Virginia, its Sept. 13 home opener against Ohio State and after a Nov. 15 game at Stanford. Steve Lopes, USC’s senior associate athletic director, said the changes were made to spread out the open dates and facilitate television.
The revised schedule: Aug. 30, at Virginia; Sept. 13, home vs. Ohio State; Sept. 25, at Oregon State; Oct. 4, home vs. Oregon; Oct. 11, home vs. Arizona State; Oct. 18, at Washington State; Oct. 25, at Arizona; Nov. 1, home vs. Washington (homecoming); Nov. 8, home vs. California; Nov. 15, at Stanford; Nov. 29, home vs. Notre Dame; Dec. 6, vs. UCLA at the Rose Bowl.
