A South Pasadena man who has confessed to setting more than a dozen fires was arrested Friday night by arson investigators from Alhambra, South Pasadena and Pasadena, officials said in a joint news release.
Marcin Swiacki , 26, is scheduled to be arraigned Tuesday in Alhambra Municipal Court.
In the news release, fire officials John Kabala and Jon Samardzich said that Swiacki had admitted setting at least 14 blazes in five cities, most recently Nov. 6 behind an Alhambra market.
The suspect has also confessed to torching trash cans inside Pasadena City College restrooms in 2003, according to the officials.
