A water molecule is a water molecule

Re “Quenching our thirst,” editorial, Dec. 5
For as long as I can remember, Los Angeles has been relying on Northern California rivers and lakes for its water, but with the state facing extreme water shortages, it is time we came up with other sources and alternatives to satisfy our thirst.
With Orange County’s Groundwater Replenishment System having success, there is no reason why L.A., and others, should not follow its lead. As stated in the article, “Water molecules are water molecules are water molecules.” And in a world in which issues such as war, poverty and suffering are of grave concern, it seems unheard of to think that recycled water is not good enough for some. As taught to me in elementary school: recycle, reduce and reuse.
