A magazine’s big step

Art and Living aims to mix those twin spheres in a hefty quarterly magazine with an equally hefty $12 cover price. The Beverly Hills publication, which is expanding its distribution to Barnes & Noble stores, has articles on Pop artist Jim Dine and cover boy Jeff Koons. With a feature on female executives of Italian furniture firms and reviews of museums and galleries worldwide, Art and Living is international in scope. But thanks to stories on the Art Center College of Design and local curators and collectors, the magazine is proudly L.A.-centric.
