Marooned: A review in Saturday’s Calendar section of “Maroon: The Next Generation of Desert Island Discs” said that Greil Marcus’ 1978 collection of essays, “Stranded,” was the first to have music critics and others choose which tunes they’d want if stranded on a desert island. The BBC’s Radio 4 program “Desert Island Discs” has asked that question of weekly guests since 1942.
