‘Canal Street’ gets star voices

Noted screen director-actor Paul Mazursky and “Grey’s Anatomy” star Chandra Wilson, up for a supporting-actress Emmy, will perform Josh Greenfield’s play “Canal Street” as part of the Bruno Kirby Celebrity Reading Series at 8 p.m. Monday at the Hayworth Theatre, 2509 Wilshire Blvd., in Los Angeles.

Directed by Gary Blumsack, the reading features Mazursky as an abrasive nursing-home resident who is paid a surprise visit by a young woman (Wilson). Tickets are $10.
