“The New Adventures of Old Christine,” “Two and a Half Men” and “How I Met Your Mother” could be winners. “Amazing Race” has never lost for reality program.

Comedy Central

Spinoff “The Colbert Report” wants the last laugh over Jon Stewart’s “Daily Show.”

Fox

“House” and “24” are serious players in the drama races. If “American Idol” gets shut out again, TV’s most popular show will be Emmy’s most losing show.

FX

The cable network scores two lead acting noms for the first time: Denis Leary (“Rescue Me”) and Minnie Driver (“The Riches”).

HBO

Big Emmy guns “The Sopranos,” “Entourage” and “Extras” vie in the series category, with “Longford,” “Life Support,” “Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee” and “Tsunami: The Aftermath” among the movies/minis.

Lifetime

Why network chiefs will get all dressed up to go to the Emmys: “ Why I Wore Lipstick to My Mastectomy” and “What If God Were the Sun.”

NBC

The peacock can be proud of three shows up for comedy or drama series: “The Office,” “30 Rock” and “Heroes.” Plus major bids for “Medium,” “Law & Order: SVU,” “My Name Is Earl,” “ER” and “Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip.”

Oxygen

The cable net is breathing well thanks to Mary-Louise Parker in “The Robber Bride.”

PBS

Past Emmy fave “Prime Suspect” will probably score prime wins for its “Final Act.” Other contenders: “Antiques Roadshow” and “Jane Eyre.”

Sci-Fi

At last, four major noms for “Battlestar Galactica.”

Showtime

“Weeds’ ” Mary-Louise Parker finally gets a nomination.

TNT

“The Closer’s” Kyra Sedgwick is back. “Nightmares & Dreamscapes” and “The Ron Clark Story” have top bids in the movie/mini slots.

USA

“Monk” and “The Starter Wife” look like winners with past champs Tony Shalhoub and Debra Messing.
