Sail the B.C. coast
Ship out on the 92-foot schooner Maple Leaf for a tour of the Great Bear Rainforest where it touches the coast of British Columbia.

Itinerary: The schooner cruises fiords and channels, and passengers go ashore in the rain forest, which is home to the rare, white spirit bear. The trip includes whale watching and visits to Native American communities.

A far-out freighter
A freighter has no rock-climbing walls or spa facilities, but passengers will find loads of quiet time and sea air on a cruise of up to 84 days aboard the Peking Senator or Penang Senator. Each has four cabins that can accommodate eight passengers. Cruises depart from and return to Long Beach or Oakland and sail to the Mediterranean by way of Asia. The voyage can be sailed in seven-day segments.
