Lingering racism

Re “An ethnic shift is in store,” April 12
Reading this article reminded me that all four of my grandparents landed at Ellis Island from Russia in 1907. Here we are 100 years later, and the dark cloud of racism still hovers over the daily lives and spirits of so many immigrants and non-immigrants alike.
I wonder what the community reaction in Chino Hills would be if 99 Ranch were not an Asian market but a gourmet French one called “Les Collines de Chine” (China Hills)?
