2 die, 7 hurt in apartment blast

An explosion tore apart an apartment complex in Melbourne, killing a father and his 8-month-old daughter and injuring seven people, officials said.
The explosion at Tucker Heights apartments destroyed at least four units and heavily damaged the 10-unit, two-story building, authorities said.
Investigators had not determined the cause of the blast.
