An 8-month-old boy sitting unrestrained between his father’s legs on an all-terrain vehicle was killed Saturday after he was ejected when the vehicle crashed into a wood and barbed wire fence, authorities said.
The accident occurred on San Jacinto Avenue, east of Forrest Drive about 6:30 p.m., when the father lost control of his vehicle while trying to overtake another all-terrain vehicle, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Norman Spencer Davis Jr., 24, of Perris, was charged with vehicular manslaughter. He suffered minor injuries, the CHP said.
