Woman Is Arrested in Alley Shooting Death

The girlfriend of a Compton gang member has been arrested in connection with an August drive-by shooting that killed a man and wounded four companions, police said Thursday.
Rachel Lauren Solario, 22, of Irvine is suspected of being an accessory to the Aug. 2 slaying of Israel Maciel, 23, in an alley off West Baker Street, said Sgt. Marty Carver, a spokesman for the Costa Mesa Police Department.
Her boyfriend, Joshua Anthony Blount, also 22, was arrested this week in the shooting.
