Car Kills Transient Sleeping on Sidewalk

A transient sleeping on a sidewalk was killed early Saturday when a car backed over him, police said.
The incident occurred about 3:30 a.m. when Jeffrey David Cacho, 23, backed into a driveway in the 400 block of East 4th Street, police said.
The victim, who appeared to be in his 50s, has not been identified.
Police said no alcohol or drugs were involved but that Cacho is an unlicensed driver and will be booked on suspicion of felony vehicular manslaughter.
