Imagine if the Dodgers Weren’t in First Place

Did Grady Little really say, “The best thing in the world was us losing 13 of 14”? I wonder if he’ll feel the same at the end of the season when the Dodgers have missed the playoffs by a couple of games.

When you are a spoiled, self-absorbed, overpaid athlete like Brad Penny and continually go ballistic at your place of work, you are labeled “competitive.”

When you are an average working person, and continually go ballistic at your place of work, they give you a different label: “psycho.”

T.J., get a life! Only a knucklehead like you could turn the Dodgers’ visit to a children’s hospital into a negative event. The players didn’t stay long enough? The players didn’t see enough kids? C’mon. If they only made one kid smile (like the young girl in the photo) or improved one kid’s day, the trip was a success. But to rip Drew and Garciaparra because the visit didn’t meet your standards? Well, that’s low, even for you.

Usually I understand the Simers sarcasm, but you whiffed on this one. Now go write 500 times, “I will not make fun of visits to children’s hospitals.”
