Block evacuated after claim of bomb on bus

A square block of downtown, including a 20-story building, was evacuated for about 2 1/2 hours Friday morning after an MTA bus passenger exiting at Brand Boulevard and Broadway claimed there was a bomb on board, police said. A bomb squad searched the bus but found nothing.
