Islamic cleric’s metaphor offends

Australia’s most prominent Islamic cleric is under fire after reports that he described women who don’t wear head scarves as “uncovered meat” who invite rape.
Sheik Taj Aldin Hilali apologized for any offense but said he had been quoted selectively and condemned rape.
He said he would refrain from sermons for two or three months but would remain as mufti.
Hilali was quoted as saying in the sermon: “If you take out uncovered meat and place it outside ... and the cats come to eat it
