Alexander Won’t Play Sunday
Running back Shaun Alexander will not play Sunday in Seattle’s NFC West showdown at St. Louis despite recent tests that show the crack in his foot has diminished, the team said.
Alexander was injured Sept. 24 against the New York Giants.
Seattle receiver Bobby Engram is questionable for Sunday because of an undetermined illness that has left him listless and resting at home. It means Deion Branch probably will make his first start as a Seahawk.

San Diego Chargers linebacker Steve Foley was charged with two counts of misdemeanor drunk driving stemming from a confrontation last month with an off-duty Coronado police officer that resulted in Foley being shot three times. Arraignment was set for Wednesday.
Police said Foley had a blood-alcohol level of .233, nearly three times the state’s legal limit of .08.

Carolina Panthers linebacker Dan Morgan will sit out the rest of the season as he struggles to recover from at least the fifth concussion of his career suffered in a season-opening loss to Atlanta.
Panthers running back DeAngelo Williams will not play Sunday against Baltimore because of a sprained right ankle.
