Bloomberg names a food czar

New York Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg has launched another assault on unhealthful food, creating a task force and a food czar to encourage grocers in poor neighborhoods to stock reduced-fat milk, fruits and vegetables. Earlier this year, Bloomberg proposed banning the use of trans fats for cooking in restaurants.
