Hynix wins ruling in Toshiba dispute

From Bloomberg News

Hynix Semiconductor Inc. didn’t infringe patents held by Toshiba Corp., a U.S. International Trade Commission judge said.

Administrative Law Judge Paul Luckern rejected Tokyo-based Toshiba’s claims that Hynix, of South Korea, was infringing three patents related to NAND flash memory chips used in consumer electronics.

The judge’s determination will be reviewed by the six-member trade commission in Washington by February.
