Girl killed, one person injured in shooting

A young girl was killed and a second person was wounded in a shooting Thursday evening outside a home in Willowbrook, authorities said.
Homicide detectives with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department were investigating the case, which was reported about 7:20 p.m. in the 2100 block of East 117th Place.
The shooting victims were taken to a hospital, where one was pronounced dead and the other was being treated for injuries. No other details were immediately available.
