The toll taken by the Iraq war

Re “More than ever, insurgents are targeting U.S. forces,” Nov. 1
While you’re busy putting up the number of Americans killed in Iraq, could you find it in your hearts to also put up the number of Americans killed at home by terrorists since 9/11? It would be a tribute to the troops who have died to keep us safe.

Let us remember as we look at your front-page photo of family members mourning the loss of an American killed in Iraq that the thousands of Iraqis killed by our military also had or were husbands, wives, mothers, fathers and children. Calling them “insurgents” does not diminish the fact that it is their country and we are invaders.
