19-Year-Old Man Found Fatally Shot on Sidewalk

Inglewood police detectives were investigating the shooting death of a 19-year-old man whose body was found on a sidewalk.
The unidentified Latino man was standing near the intersection of Century Boulevard and Firmona Avenue at 6:50 p.m. Sunday when a car believed to be carrying two people drove up and stopped, Sgt. Kent Ferrin said. The occupants fired two shots at the man with a handgun and drove off, he said.
Police found the victim on the sidewalk. He was taken to UCLA Medical Center, where he died, Ferrin said.
