Suspects in Ensenada Slaying Held
SAN DIEGO — Two of Baja California’s most wanted murder suspects have been arrested by U.S. Border Patrol agents and turned over to Mexican authorities, according to U.S. officials.
Brothers Carlos and Ismael Camacho Higuera, both from Ensenada, were wanted in the 2003 slaying of a man who had joked about the capture of their uncle, a lieutenant in the powerful Arellano-Felix drug cartel, according to Mexican authorities.
The victim, Victor Adam Oliver, 22, was shot 18 times at a ranch outside Ensenada.
The brothers were arrested Tuesday without incident at an apartment complex in National City, a San Diego suburb.
The men had illegally entered the United States.
