Waste in Alaska
Re “80 Eyes on 2,400 People,” Column One, March 28
Take the pork out of our federal diet -- please. Our nation is in crisis. We go deeper in debt every day. We can’t -- or refuse -- to take care of our own people. And yet we give $202,000 to a remote village in Alaska to install and operate cameras to prevent terrorist threats? Who is responsible for this boondoggle? How did this make it through the Washington bureaucracy? Where is the investigation into who paid whom to get this grant?
Throw the bums out.
