Blockbuster Dismisses Its General Counsel

Blockbuster Inc., which is moving to cut corporate costs, dismissed General Counsel Edward Stead.
Stead will be paid $1.05 million in severance, the Dallas company said in a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission. Stead’s responsibilities are to be divided among several attorneys.
