Woman, 70, With Alzheimer’s Is Missing
Police are searching for a woman suffering from Alzheimer’s disease who wandered off, said Costa Mesa Police Sgt. Zack Hoferitza.
Virginia Lee Kolyer, 70, locked herself out of her house Saturday afternoon and called her daughter to say she would wait outside a Bank of America at Adams Avenue and Harbor Boulevard. But when her daughter arrived 10 minutes later, Kolyer was not there, Hoferitza said.
Kolyer is the second elderly Orange County resident to go missing in a week. Laguna Beach police are still looking for 83-year-old Andre Mayenzet, who suffers from dementia and did not return home from his morning walk Tuesday.
