Council Decries Erosion of Traditional Family

The Vatican declared that the traditional family had never been as threatened as in today’s world, and it lashed out against contraception, abortion, in vitro fertilization and same-sex marriage.
The 57-page document was issued by the Pontifical Council for the Family.
The Vatican document doesn’t break new ground but instead summarizes traditional Roman Catholic Church positions in the first sweeping comment on the issues during Benedict XVI’s papacy.
