State Rep. Assigned to Military Service in Iraq

An Arizona lawmaker assigned to a tour of duty in Iraq will be serving as an Army Reserve intelligence officer during his reelection campaign.
State Rep. Jonathan Paton, 35, of Tucson said he learned Saturday that he was going to Iraq for five to six months. The Republican said he volunteered for duty last year to back his support of the war with action.
