Philanthropist Astor Is Released From Hospital

Millionaire philanthropist and high-society queen Brooke Astor was released from a hospital, several days after being admitted amid a family dispute over whether she was being neglected by her son.
Astor, 104, left the Lenox Hill Hospital about 1 p.m., said a spokesman for Annette de la Renta, Oscar de la Renta’s wife, who has been appointed as Astor’s temporary legal guardian. Astor was reported to be “dramatically” improved and up and walking.
