It’s not renters but rules that hurt complexes

After reading the July 2 article “What’s Really So Bad About Rental Units in a Condo Complex?” I can not help but relate. I presently own rental condos in Marina del Rey.
The homeowner boards have been a nightmare to deal with, as many are trying to amend their CC&Rs; to limit rentals.
The boards tell homeowners financing will be difficult, and renters will bring down the quality of life and value of property.
It will not be renters who take down the property values, it will be extremely strict rules set by the boards.
I urge associations and the people who live in these complexes to really think about the effects such restrictions will have down the road.
