Man Arrested in Hit-and-Run Death

Authorities arrested a Norwalk resident Saturday on suspicion of killing a motorcycle driver in a hit-and-run crash on the 605 Freeway.
About 5 a.m., just north of Telegraph Road, a motorcycle ridden by Roberto Abarca was struck by a Chevrolet Blazer, said California Highway Patrol Officer Patrick Kimball. Abarca, 32, of Pico Rivera was pronounced dead at the scene, Kimball said.
CHP officers arrested Reymundo Duarte, 33, at his home, said Sheriff’s Sgt. Scott Craig.
