TV deal: Comic Sarah Silverman, who won praise for her appearances in two films last year -- “Sarah Silverman: Jesus Is Magic” and “The Aristocrats” -- will star in a six-episode series for Comedy Central this summer.
For posterity: The Library of Congress will acquire the archives of the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, which includes audiotapes, musical manuscripts and orchestrations, Ailey’s personal papers and 8,500 photographs.
More awards: The Hollywood Foreign Press Assn. says it will add a new category to the Golden Globes next year: best animated feature film.
