SOUTH BEND, Ind. — Megan Duffy had 23 points, nine assists and eight rebounds, leading No. 24 Notre Dame on an 18-0 run in the second half of a 78-75 victory over 10th-ranked DePaul on Tuesday night.
DePaul, 16-2 overall and 3-2 in the Big East Conference, saw its nine-game winning streak end. It had a chance to tie the game at the end, but a half-court shot by Allie Quigley bounced hard off the back of the rim. It was only the second win in six games for the Irish (11-5, 2-3).
Quigley had 19 points for the Blue Demons, who made a season-high 13 three-point shots and shot a season-best 45% from beyond the arc.
“We had some moments, but we didn’t have enough consistent moments,” DePaul Coach Doug Bruno said.
The Blue Demons, who trailed at halftime, 37-33, used an 18-0 run early in the second half to open a 51-39 lead. But the Irish answered with their 18-0 run, holding DePaul scoreless for 8:29.
