Navy to Relocate 3 Nuclear Subs to Area

The Navy plans to move three submarines from East Coast bases to San Diego by 2010 as part of a plan to shift more warships and personnel to the West Coast, officials said Monday.
The additional attack submarines will bring to seven the number at Naval Submarine Base Point Loma. Subs are also being sent to Pearl Harbor and Bremerton, Wash.
