Memorial for playwright Belluso
A memorial service for playwright John Belluso, who died in New York on Feb. 10, will be held at 7 p.m. March 6 at the Evidence Room in Los Angeles.
Belluso’s “The Body of Bourne” received its premiere at the Mark Taper Forum in 2001, and he later served as director of Center Theatre Group’s Other Voices, a program to encourage the work of disabled theater artists. He suffered from a rare bone disorder that had required him to use a wheelchair since adolescence.
Belluso’s other credits include “A Nervous Smile,” “The Rules of Charity” and “Gretty Good Time.”
The Evidence Room is at 2220 Beverly Blvd.
